Allen Supports Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act

Today, the House of Representatives passed the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, which would provide Israel with $14.3 billion in emergency aid—offset by recisions from President Biden's Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, specifically the enhanced funding for the IRS. After voting in support of the bill, Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) issued the following statement:

“Israel is the United States’ strongest ally in the Middle East, and I support Israel’s right to defend itself against the heinous and barbaric terrorist attacks being carried out by Hamas. Today’s bipartisan legislation not only provides Israel with much-needed resources as they fight this evil, but it also claws back President Biden’s unnecessary IRS funding. I was proud to vote in support of this bill and I urge my Senate colleagues to take immediate action.”
