Allen: Budget Vote Lays Groundwork for Obamacare Relief
Washington,
January 13, 2017
WASHINGTON, DC—Today, the House passed S. Con. Res 3, Fiscal Year 2017 Budget Resolution. This resolution provides reconciliation instructions to initiate and facilitate the repeal process of the Affordable Care Act. “Obamacare has continuously wreaked havoc on Americans—they are ready for relief. This resolution, which instructs committees to begin drafting legislation to repeal major portions of Obamacare, is the first step in providing relief and initiating the repeal and replacement process. My colleagues in the House and Senate will deliver on our promises. The road to replacement will be a process, but every battle worth fighting must start with step one—and today we took that step.” ### |
